Description

With the sucessful conquest of the Isfahan-Fars region, the Kara Koyunlu effectively ended the reign of the Timurid Empire in Western Iran. The Kara Koyunlu had proven themselves a force to be recokened with.

Description

In 1506, Ismail of the Safavids marched on the city of Shiraz and quickly captured it. With the conquest of the regional capital, he found it easy to quickly subdue the minor independent potentiates that had risen with the fall of the Koyunlu.
